The dry land agriculture is purely based on manmade irrigation system where rainfall is scanty and the soil is dry.

Crops that require more water to grow like rice cannot be cultivated in the dry lands where agriculture is practiced as it needs more and more water and natural irrigation sources for its growth.

Other crops like grapes are suitable for dry land agriculture.
