using Ohm's law,

V=IR,

where V= pd

I= current

R= resistance

now,

v = 120v

R= 25ohms

so 120v = I × 25 ohms

120÷ 25 = I

4.8 = I

so therefore I = 4.8

This is your answer dude!

Explanation:

Given :

A hair dryer plugged into a 120 volt circuit and it has a resistance of 25 Ohms

To Find :

Current flows through the hair dryer

Solution :

Potential difference across the circuit , V = 120 V

Resistance of the hair dryer , R = 25 Ω

Current flows through the hair dryer , I = ? A

We know that , " Potential difference across the circuit is directly proportional to the current flowing through it "

➠ V ∝ I

➠ V = IR

➠ 120 = I (25)

➠ l = 120/25

➠ l = 4.8 A

 I = 4.8 A  \pink{\bigstar}

Current flow through the circuit is 4.8 A
