Here’s what happened yesterday.
In afternoon at 2 pm I was driving back home after attending a wedding ceremony.
There was strong wind preceding heavy rain.
A branch of a roadside tree snapped and landed on the roof of my car as I was driving slowly and shocked me. I held my wits and somehow, moved to the side, parked my car, surveyed the damage and acknowledged the good wishes of my fellow citizens who observed what had happened to me and requested them not to crowd around and block the traffic.
The roof was dented. The wind shield was shattered. Nothing happened to me and my wife who were inside.
It was just a branch. What if it had been a tree?
My car is at the service centre now and insurance will cover most of the costs of rectifying the damage.
We live from day to day. That is inevitable.
