What determines the nature of the path followed by a particle?
(a) Speed
(b) Velocity
(c) Acceleration
(d) None of these?
The aswer was given as (b). But as far as I am concerned, velocity will always give a straight line motion, but not any other type of locus. I thought that acceleration will determine the type of path. Please explain with reasons which is the correct answer?

velocity determine the nature of the path followed by the particle because it is a vector quantity that has direction
