What determines the state of substance whether it is solid liquid or gas give one example in each case

solid is hard in state ex.. is wood rubber etc...
in liquid is semi solid in nature ex... is water etc
and finally gas is loos in nature we can't see some gases on we can feel them.... ex.... is oxygen and red gas.

we can detrimine by their properties

if substance has fixed mass and foxed
volume then it is solid

if substance has not fixed mass but has fixed volume then it is liquid

if substance has not fixed mass and not fixed volume then it is gas
