"Guru Nanak's preachings is nothing but the verbal communication between him and the other Pandits. His wordings has been given in the form of two Shabads.

The first Shabad explains about the meat eating behaviour of people, which he quotes ""Flesh is produced from flesh; his mouth is flesh, his tongue is flesh, his breath is in the flesh"" stating that if eating flesh of animals is permissible, then eating humans flesh is also allowable.

In the second Shabad, he explains that a person cannot become holy just by being vegetarian and similarly, a person will not become a sinner by seeing meat.

Thus, most of his preachings were related to eating meat."
