James Mill was of the opinion that Indians and Asians were not as civilized as the Europeans were.
He felt that Indians were superstitious, disrespectful to women, and not as technologically advanced as the Europeans were.
So he felt that the British must have a civilizing mission for the Indians to make them more superior as compared to their present state .
