Lencho was man with unshakable faith in God. He had asked God for a hundred pesos in order to sow his fields again because the hailstorm had ruined all his crops. His faith in God was such that when he received the money he didn't even show any act of surprise ,but showed anger for receiving only seventy pesos. He blamed the post office employees ,blindly judging that they had stolen the rest of his money for God could not have made a slightest mistake nor would he denied him of the money. This was the reason for Lencho calling them a bunch of crooks.
