Explanation:

Vedas actually described the situation from the much deeper history of the pre-Vedic time, the ancient Vedic time, when the human spirituality had a different meaning, played a different role, and had a different implementation, as the one we understand today or within last several thousands of years.

Spirituality was not a religion; it was a practical spirituality standing on experiential knowledge of individuals.

The “Gods“ were not a subject of religious adoration, devotions and superficial or emotional belief; they were representatives /holders / personifications of spiritual wisdom related with the projection of universe and wisdom about the human existence in universe.

Spirituality was not a “special”, elite, or separate reality of life of the society; it was a natural reality of life; the non-spirituality was un-natural reality.

Thus, the spirituality was not detached from the daily life of people and society - it was not detached form education, economics, and politics.

Rulers were responsible for keeping, supporting and cultivating the practical spirituality and consequently the economics and politics for the dignity of human life of individuals and society.

The essence of relation between society and kingdom was the equality of all human beings on spiritual level.

The role of rajas was opposite to roles of today’s kings. Today the true spirituality is a rare reality and kings rule the lands, palaces, armies, capital etc. In pre-Vedic time the non-spirituality was a rare reality and kings ruled the spiritual welfare, which was supported by economics and politics. There were no castes, no elite priests, and no handlers sucking “money” from working people…

The historical experience of India of this kind of ruling the society is a unique experience important for the whole world. It is the only sustainable perspective for the future development of humankind. Naturally, today not the kings but the governments…
