The author Jerome, simply wanted to boss around and show off his expertise in packing when he offered to help.

He did not actually want to do all the work; instead, he wished to supervise his friends Harris and George while they packed everything. However, his friends readily accepted his suggestion and George sat on the easy-chair while Harris got comfortable on the table. Yes, Jerome was certainly a show-off while volunteering to help. Had I been in Jerome’s place, I would have divided the work into small tasks and made everyone take care of their tasks. I would have also worked, as would have the other two.
