They were both the causes of the American Revolution is the correct answer.

The French and Indian War was fought in 1756 and ended in 1763. It caused a huge financial loss to Britain. So the British began a concerted effort to gain more control over American colonies and collect additional revenue which enraged the Americans and they went against the British. Similarly Stamps Act of 1765 where Americans had to pay taxes on every paper material also enraged them and thus turned against the British.
