Helen mostly visited the north along with her teacher Annie Sullivan.

She had a strong liking for the north as the snow fascinated her.

She was keen on finding about all the treasures of snow of the village she visited in New England.

She was amazed by the snow and effectively described it as the light which penetrated through all the dark which veils her eyes.
