What did the poet do in earlier days that has led to tooth decay

The poet ate more chocolates, sticky foods etc. That lead to tooth decay. If she knew this before she would have controlled..

The Poet- Pam Ayres , did not brush her teeth in a proper way.
She ate a lot of sweet and sticky food.

Even after eating these things she didn't wash her mouth.

These are the reasons which led to the tooth decay.
