The two roads symbolizes decisions in life. The first one is quite walked upon and represents decisions that are taken commonly and the second which had thorns and bushes represents decisions that are not quite taken by usual people but by those who are willing to overcome obstacles in order to excel in life and it is the road not taken. ultimately both decisions determine where one would be the the future...

The Road not Taken is really a beautiful poem written by Robert Frost a very famous American poet.

The traveller from the poem stands on the road where the road diverge in two ways. The traveller was thinking about which road he has to take for the further journey.

The poet has symbolically represents both the ways. The first way is a very common way which is taken by thousands of people which looks smooth and calm.

Most of the people prefer this way as it looks comfortable, through this way the poet represents the mentality of common people as no one wants to face any kind of difficulty in the life.

The second way is difficult as hardly anyone has taken that road. The second is unused way. when the traveller has chosen this way he knows that this is unusual way and there may be some obstacles in this way but he knows that whatever the way he has chosen that leads to him towards his destination.

He didn't choose the first day which is usual one because he left it for another day though he knew that he will never come back again to walk on that way.
