Answer:
This book is very touching. Anne Frank truly wrote a masterpiece that makes you realize that no matter what is going on in the world, at heart, a teenager is a teenager. Her canniness is one-of-a-kind. She’s very frank about several aspects of life (pun not intended), so you get a raw evaluation of life by a teenager. One thing I definitely learned and got more insight about was life in hiding. Before reading the book, I could only imagine what it would be like to have to disappear, without saying goodbye. After I read the book, I realized that, though it is very difficult to literally have to become a nobody to be able to keep being alive, it is easy to continue being yourself. The jaunty, tempered, kind girl that was Anne remained Anne, even through hiding. Yes, she did change a bit. But that happens to everybody. Through these difficult circumstances, she remained Anne but became the person she was supposed to become. She was still a “normal” teenager, if you can say that there is really anything normal at that age.
(By the way, I did not look this up online or copy someone else or anything like that.—I’ve read The Diary of a Young Girl a couple times.)
Hope this helps!
