What did YU mean by hormones?? What is the function of it???

The main function of endocrine glands is to secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. Hormones are chemical substances that affect the activity of another part of the body (target site). In essence, hormones serve as messengers, controlling and coordinating activities throughout the body.

Hormones are some non- nutrient chemicals which are secreted from various endocrine glands(ductless glands).
They are directly poured into the blood and their function is to produce certain responses in our body.
Example.Adrenaline secreted from adrenal gland helps in responding to certain situations ( flight and fight hormone)..
