It is important to have a balanced diet in every family to ensure the good health and a strong body of all the family members.

A balanced diet is a diet which has equal and required proportions of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and energy-giving factors. It should include various vegetables, fruits, dairy products, energy-giving foods like dry fruits, nuts, etc. and enough water.

A daily intake of 2 -3 litres of water is a must. Also, the presence of children will need an extra need of calcium-rich and protein-rich foods. It is advised for the elders to take supplements as the body tends to become weak and there will be a need for direct energy provision. Decreasing the intake of junk foods and fried foods will also help in maintaining proper health conditions.
