What difference between incident ray and reflected ray


Nimrat11: The ray which strikes at the normal is called incident ray and the ray which bounce back after striking the surface is called reflected ray.

The angle between this ray and the perpendicular ornormalto the surface is theangle of incidence.*.Thereflected raycorresponding to a given incident ray, is the ray that represents the light reflected by the surface. The angle between the surface normal and the reflected ray is known as theangle of reflection. The Law of Reflection says that for aspecular(non-scattering)surface, the angle of reflection always equals the angle of incidence.*.There is a change in direction but nochange in the phase.

the ray which strikes the mirror at a specific point is called incident ray. And the ray that is reflected back by the mirror is called reflected ray. the imaginary line between them is called as normal. ANGLE OF INCIDENCE=ANGLE OF REFLECTION. hope it helps you
