what difference do you find in the rainy season of Chennai and other cities of India and why

I think Chennai the place where monsoon comes very late I think the monsoon winds are start travelling from Kerala and by revolving around the North India it go in the Bay of Bengal where monsoon winds recharge and then it rains in Chennai I think this is the difference between the rainy season of Chennai and other states of India.

Chennai gets rainfall mainly in October November it has more rainy months but less rainfall than all other cities in India
