what difference would it make if the Himalayas were extended from Kashmir to kanyakumari?

Himalayan obstructs the way of cold winds and protects the rest southern region of the Himalayas.________________________________________________
If Himalayas were extended from Kashmir to Kanyakumari then the region which is protected from extreme cold climatic conditions would not be protected and that whole region would get winter winds.
