The historians face several difficulties in using manuscripts. There was no printing press in those days so scribes copied manuscripts by hand. Manuscript copying is not an easy job. As scribes copied manuscripts, they also introduced small changes—a word here, a sentence there.

Manu scripts are written on palm leaves or barks of trees. That's the reason that they get destroied very soon because of microbes or insects. Manu scripts contain histological information which are very useful to understand the history of past. When these get destroied , it becomes difficult for the historians to figure out the information hidden in it.Another reason is of language disorders.which means that olden language was Sanskrit,persia,arabic etc.

which are not so familiar with nowadays people.
