there wasn't any disaster but the kabuliwala always wanted that Mini shouldn't be married and shouldn't go to her in-laws bcs he was having a daughter like Mini and now when he saw mini bridegroomed he was shocked and sad thinking about his own daughter that she also had been so big and now had to get married....

The disaster was that time changes every relationship, time changes the feelings and most importantly time changes every person. The strong bond that Mini shared with Kabuliwala, was changed when she grew up. Kabuliwala saw Mini as a bridegroom. He felt bad that his dear friend Mini has changed her perspective towards him. It was even more disastrous when he thought that the same would be the case with his daughter. His daughter,who was so close to him, also will behave like stranger to him. Time change people and relations and that's the disaster shown in the story.
