What distinguish democracy from other form of government in three points?

1) Democracy allows the people of a country to choose their own leaders, be it at National Level or State Level Elections.

2) Democracy allows the people to correct their mistakes. That is, if people aren't  satisfied with any given government, they may change it.

3) People have the freedom to express their views, freedom to organize and freedom to protest.
