In spoken English, I’ve observed the use of adverbs as the most misunderstood. Native speakers usually use adjectives instead of adverbs when describing a verb. I often hear things like, ‘She runs quick,’ or ‘He laughed loud.’ If we are describing the verb, the sentences should be, ‘She runs quickly,’ and ‘he laughed loudly.’
I never correct these mistakes when I hear them (unless it’s my mother, who wants to be corrected) because the incorrect use happens so often and natives get offended when they are corrected. I do hear them, though, and this seems to be a constant problem.
