What do u mean by the term Transpiration? discuss the advantage of it to the plants?

The loss of water content from the leaves of the green plants is called as transpiration....basically transpiration is avery important phenomenon for the absorption of water from the soil by doing the work against the gravity...this process is known as tranpirational pull...this helps to transport water in the plants easily against the gravity....
