Two physical systems are in thermal equilibrium if no heat flows between them when they are connected by a path permeable to heat. Thermal equilibrium obeys the zeroth law of thermodynamics.

KeerthanaReddy: what is zeroth law
neymar8: The zeroth law of thermodynamics' states that if two thermodynamic systems are in a thermal equilibrium with a third, then they are in thermal equilibrium with each other.

Answer:

  • When the two systems are at same temperature then the systems are said to be in thermal equilibrium i.e., there exists a scalar quantity called temperature which is a property of all thermodynamic systems, such that equality of temperature is the only condition for the thermodynamic system to be in the thermal equilibrium.
