In a text editor or word processor, we have many lines each of them with many words. Some lines are very wide and they go beyond the width of the window of the editor. If there is no word wrap around, the part of a line exceeding the width of the window will not be displayed. So see those parts of long lines, we need to use the feature of word wrap.
Then the line is wrapped around to the next line in the editor. It does not create a new line. But part of the line is shown on the succeeding line.
