Ionic Crystals :-

When the lattice point in crystal are alternatively occupied by oppositely charged ions and held Together by electrostatic force then such crystals are called ionic crystals .

Properties :-

➡️The ionic crystals are very hard and brittle .

➡️They have very high melting point and boiling point .

➡️They have high heat of vaporization .

Answer:

Ions bound together by electrostatic attraction form ionic crystals. Their arrangement varies depending on the ions’ sizes or the radius ratio (the ratio of the radii of the positive to the negative ion). A simple cubic crystal lattice has ions equally spaced in 3D at 90° angles.
