CHORD is the answer .

The line which connects two points in a circle is called the chord of the circle .

The line which divides the circle into two halves is called the diameter of the circle . The diameter is infarct the largest chord of the circle .

SOME MORE INFO :-

◾The circle is a closed figure which is defined as the locus of a point equidistant from a particular point .

◾The particular point is called the centre of the circle .

◾The radius is the line joining the centre of the circle with the circumference of the circle .

◾The circumference is the boundary which encloses the circle .

◾The perimeter of the circle is the length of the circumference of the circle .

◾The perimeter is given by the formula : diameter × pi where pi is a constant .

◾The area of the circle is given by : π r² where π is the same as pi .

◾Circle is always a 2 dimensional figure and hence the units of area will have the power of 2 .

CHORD

A line segment that connects any two points on a circle is called the chord of a circle. It is a line segments whose both ends lies at the circumference of the circle.

A chord can be located anywhere in the circle. In fact, the diameter of a circle is a special chord that passes through the center of the circle.

Additional information:

Diameter - It is the longest chord of the circle which passes from the centre of the circle. It divides circle in exactly two equal parts.

Secant - A line segment that connects two points of a circle, and one side is extended.
