I will simply decrease the area on which my force is going to act to increase the pressure . The two applications are as followed:
i) When you use a sharp knife, it's easy to cut a fruit beacuse it has has less area on which force is going to act.
ii) When you hammer a nail in the wall , the one with sharp the end is to hammer(as it will occupy less area) as compare to the one with blunt end.
