I'm 14 years old, which is considered a child. I don't have much life experiences but I can definitely tell you that my expectations of my parents has changed a lot throughout my life and would be expected to change much more in the future. It depends on both the parents and the child as there are many factors that would change the perspective of the child (which would deeply impact what they would expect) of their parents. This is going to be a long one so snuggle up and enjoy!

I expect that my parents will tell me right from wrong and teach me the lessons that will make me a better human being, I expect they would be caring and loving but also strict enough to tell me when I step out of line, to always hope that I succeed and comfort when I lose. To tell me when I need to improve but not be harsh about it, to praise me when I do well but not that it will get into my head. First, I don’t expect my parents to be perfect, but I do expect them to do their best......
