A National Assembly was formed which met at Weimar and initiated a Democratic Constitution along with a Feudal system. Deputies Were now elected to the Reichstag ( German Parliament ) on the Basis of Universal Suffrage. This is the Formation of the Weimar Republic.$

Democracy was a young and fragile idea in the Interwar Europe which obviously wasn't a worthy solution for instabilities of Germany. This Republic was not well Received by its own people mostly because of the terms it had to take upon at the end of the World War I. The Peace Treaty of Versailles was a harsh and a Humiliating event for the German People and made them lose their respect and dignity.

After the War, Germany lost a tenth of its Population, 13 percent of its overseas colonies, 26 percent of its coal Stock to France, Poland, Denmark and Lithuania. The Country also Got Demilitarized by the Allies and was Charged with a Compensation amounting to £6 billion. Allies also occupied the Resource abdunt Rhineland. Many People saw Weimar Republic as a Disgrace upon humiliation and Held it Responsible not only for the Defeat at the War but the infaminity at Versailles.
