It was the year 1942 B.S. when a battalion of Nepalese army was about to go to Rawalpindi to participate in a army demonstration under the leadership of Bir Shamsher.

Seizing this opportunity of having a group of army at disposal, Bir Shamsher and his brothers killed Rannodip Singh. Also they killed son of Junga Bahadur, Jagat Jung. Some of them took refuge at British Embassy, while some of them ran away. In this way, sons of Junga Bahadur were stripped off the chance of leading the country.
