Aestivation is the mode of arrangement of sepals or petals in a floral bud with respect to the members of the same whorl there are four main types of aestivation
1) Valvate aestivation
2) twisted astivation
3)Imbricate astivation
4)vexillary aestivation
Aestivation- In a whorl how sepals or petals are adjusted in the floral bud with respect to the same whorl's members.
It is of four types-
1. Valvate- If petal of a whorl is lying on each other by touching just the margin without overlapping then it is known as valvate.
2. Twisted- Those margins in which the petal covers the adjacent Patel of the another margin. simple girls images the one Patel will overlap to the next.
3. Imbricate- This is the case when one petal is covered by 2 petals by the two margin of another one.
4. Vexillary- It is the largest petal which would be overlapping two lateral petals.
