Bhoodan' was an act which occured due to some poor landless villagers who demanded some land for their economic well-being. Vinoba Bhave could not assure but he promised to talk to the government. But suddenly Shri Ram Chandra Reddy stood up and offered 80 acres of land to be distributed among 80 landless villagers. And thus, this act was known.

'Gramdan' was an act in which some zaminders , owners of many villages, offered to distribute some villages among landless.

Both the movement was initiated by Vinoba Bhave and it is also known as the 'Bloodless Revolution.
