What do you mean by bioyent? why does an object float or sink when placed on the surface of water ?the volume of 50 g of a substance in 20 cm³ .if the density of water is 1 g/cm³ ,will be the substance float or sink?

it will sink becauseits density become mare i,e. 50/20 2.5g/cm3

2.5 > 1 g/cm3

dikshit30: means youtube
dikshit30: we have density of water =1 gram per metre cube
dikshit30: now
dikshit30: density of material =mass of body /colume of body
dikshit30: density of material= 50 / 20
dikshit30: i,e 2.5
dikshit30: if any body have more density than water then body will sinks
Deveshpunjabi15: Two
Deveshpunjabi15: Thanks
dikshit30: मतलब डूब जाती हैं

_/\_Hello mate__here is your answer--

⭐ CONCEPT:-- If the density of an object is more than the density of a liquid, then it sinks in the liquid. On the other hand, if the density of an object is less than the density of a liquid, then it floats on the surface of the liquid.

________________________

Mass of sub. , M= 50 g

Volume of sub., V= 20 cm^3

density of the substance

= M/V

=50/ 20

= 2.5 g/cm^3

The density of the substance is more than the density of water (1 g cm^−3). Hence, the substance will sink in water.

I hope, this will help you.☺

Thank you______❤
