Answer:

Explanation:

When a reaction takes place in presence of a catalyst, it is called a catalysis.

EMULSION:-

It is a collidal solution in which both dispersed phase and dispersion medium both are liquids

For example, milk and butter

Explanation:

Catalysis

Catalysis is the process of altering the rate of a chemical reaction by adding catalyst which do not take part  directly in the reaction and have no role in products formed in the reaction as it is not consumed during the reaction .

There are three types of catalysis:-

\bigstar Homogeneous catalysis

The catalyst is in the same state of matter as that of the reactants.

Example :- Hydrolysis of ethyl acetate.

\bigstar Heterogeneous  catalysis

The catalyst is not in the same state of matter as that of reactants.

Example :- Haber’s process

\bigstar Auto catalysis

In some reactions one product act as a catalyst to increase the rate of the reaction.

Example :- Oxidation of Oxalic acid by KMnO₄

\boxed{ NOTE}

Catalyst - are  chemicals that alters the rate of a chemical reaction without being consumed in the reaction.

Emulsions

  • Emulsions are  formed by the mixture of two immiscible liquids where one of the liquid is small droplets .
  • In emulsions both the dispersed phase and dispersion medium are liquids.
  • Oil in water is the best Example of Emulsion.
