Chemical bonds are forces that hold atoms together to make compounds or molecules. Chemical bonds include covalent, polar covalent, and ionic bonds. Atoms with relatively similar electronegativities share electrons between them and are connected by covalent bonds. The ions then are attracted to each other.

Answer:

A chemical bond is the physics phenomenon of chemical substance being held together by attraction of atoms to each together through sharing, as well as exchanging of electrons or electrostatic forces.

There are four types of chemical bond:

1. Ionic bond

2. Covalent bond

3. Hydrogen bond

4. Polar bond

Explanation:

1. IONIC BOND: An ionic bond is the bonding between the non-metal and a metal, that occurs when charged atoms(ion) attract. This happens after a metal atoms losses one or more of its electrons to the non-metal atoms.

2. COVALENT BOND: Covalent bonds are chemical bonds between two non-metal atoms. An example is water, hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) bond together to make (h2o). A full outer shell usually has 8 electrons, or two in the case of hydrogen and helium.... Covalent bonds are formed by the atoms sharing valence electrons.

3. HYDROGEN BOND: A hydrogen bond is a low kind type of dipole-dipole bond that exist between an electronegative molecule and hydrogen molecule bonded to another electronegative molecule. This type of Bond always involves a hydrogen atom.

4. POLAR BOND: A type of covalent bond between two atoms in which electrons are shared unequally. Because of this, one end of the molecule has the slightly negative charge and the other a slightly positive charge.
