Convex lenses bend the light falling on them inward. Whereas Concave lenses bend light outward. Real images are formed using convex lens by placing them in between the object and a screen. Virtual images formed by convex lenses are erect and larger in size compared to virtual images formed by concave lenses which are erect and smaller is size. Convex lenses are used in magnifying glasses. Concave lenses are used in spectacles to correct bad vision.
