What do you mean by diploid (2n) cell?

2n or diploid can be used to describecells with all the genetic material which would be 46 chromosomes in humans. All cells but the gametes are diploid.

Diploid cell:
It is a type of cell that contains two sets of chromosomes. Cells which are present in the organs like ovaries and testis are diploid cell.
