its nothing but dry ice.dry ice is solid form of carbon dioxide .its advantage is that it is readily vapourised to gaseous carbon dioxide.

uses:it is used to preserve food.it is frequently used to package items that need to remain cold and frozen such as ice cream.it doesn't alter the taste .
