Extrinsic growth:
- Extrinsic growth is growth that occurs from the outside.
- The external materials will involve in increasing the growth of the thing.
- It occurs in non-living things.
- There will be no internal growth.
Intrinsic growth:
- Intrinsic growth is growth that occurs from the inside.
- It involves an increase in the size and mass of the thing.
- It occurs only in living things.
- The non-living things do not have the ability of intrinsic growth.
- The factors such as water, nutrients are involved in intrinsic growth.
