Newtonian physics, free fall is any motion of a body where gravity is the only force acting upon it. In the context of general relativity, where gravitation is reduced to a space-time curvature, a body in free fall has no force acting on it.

Free fall is defined as a situation when a body is moving only under the influences of the earth's gravity.Since external force is acting on the ball, the motion will be acceralated. This free fall equation is also known as accelerator due to gravity.

1. A stone is falling in an empty well.

2.The ball thrown in a projectile motion.

3. A spacecraft in continuous orbit.
