Jet Streams are fast flowing narrow air currents in the upper atmosphere or in troposphere of some planets including earth.

Importance or Effect of Jet Streams:

Jet Streams changes the pressure conditions in the upper atmosphere which diverts the winds resulting into changed pattern of rain.
