Answer:

metaphor-a word or phrase that is used in an imaginative way to show that somebody/something has the same qualities as another thing. ‘Her words were a knife in his heart’ is a metaphor

synecdoche means a figure of speech in which a part is made to represent the whole or vice versa, as in England lost by six wickets (meaning ‘ the English cricket team’).

A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes an object or action in a way that isn't literally true, but helps explain an idea .Here there is no use of 'as' or 'like'.

Examples:

➡He is a shining star.

➡Her long hair was a flowing golden river

Synecdoche is a literary device in which a part of something represents the whole.

Examples:

➡"check out my new wheels," "wheels" is an example of synecdoche, used to refer to a "car." A part of a car, in this example, represents the whole of the car.
