Mid day meal program was started in the 1960s .It is the popular name for school meal programme in India .it gives lunch free of cost to school students on all working days.

Benefits

1.Students attendance has improved.

2.More & more children are getting admission to school.

3.it also reduces the hunger of the poor and needy children.
