here is your answer
open circulatory system means Blood is not filled under veins and arteries instead it is open under simple covering
hope it helps
A circulatory system consists of veins and arteries. It is a one way blood circulation system. Heart pumps out blood through those vessels filled with Oxygen.
In open circulatory system there is no difference between the blood and interstitial fluid (fluid inside the cells). It is called hemolymph. Blood fills all body cavities and the tissues are all surrounded by blood. It is seen in Anthropods (insects like grasshopper). The blood circulation system is not closed. Blood diffuses back to the circulation system between cells. When the heart relaxes (reduction of pressure/tension/contracts back) the blood is pulled back towards the heart through the small pores in heart called ostia (ostium).
In open circulation system the blood flow out of heart is not controlled (adjusted) by any feedback on the condition of the body unlike in closed circulation system.
In open blood circulation system the movement of muscles facilitate movement of blood (or hemolymph).
On the contrary, in closed circulatory system blood is closed within arteries and veins. These vessels are closed. The fluid inside cells and blood are different. There is a membrane separating them. In closed circulation system there is a control on the amount of blood that is pumped. It is adjusted as per need and body condition. Humans, fish and mammals have closed circulation system.
Advantage of open circulatory system is that their body temperature is controlled directly and easily. Reason Blood is in contact with all tissues. It cools or heats up immediately.
