There are two types of pollination,

1) Self Pollination - Transfer of pollen grains grains from the anther to stigma of on the same plant. There are two types of self pollination,

i ) Autogamy - It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to stigma of the same flower.

ii ) Geitonogamy - It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower borne on the same plant.

2) Cross Pollination/Allogamy/Xenogamy - It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of one flower to stigma of another flower borne on different plant.
