A range is a group or block of cells in a worksheet that have been selected or highlighted. When cells have been selected they are surrounded by a black outline or border. Normally there is only one cell in the worksheet with a black outline. This is the activecell.

Range of cell means a collection or a group of two or more cells selected in same direction.

  • Ranges of cell is usually symmetrical but can exist of separate cells just the same.

  • Selecting the range of cells by clicking left button of mouse.

  • Range of cells can also be Selected by clicking Shift key + arrow key.

  • Range of cell is also used in formula
