They have three main characteristics: utility, limited availability, and potential for depletion or consumption. Resources have been variously categorized as biotic versus abiotic, renewable versus non-renewable, and potential versus actual, along with more elaborate classifications

Resources can be defined as the features of environment which helps us to produce things that satisfy our needs and finally used by us.

By the use of sources the needs of people can get fulfilled, as more and more people get their needs fulfilled the country starts to develop.
